Registration Opens for World’s Most Popular Paintball EventBy NPPL
Jan 9, 2006, 03:38

Registration for the 2006 NPPL Super 7 World Series Huntington Beach event opens Monday, January 9th at 8:00 am PST. Spots for this event sell out faster than Super Bowl tickets, so teams need to act fast if they want to be a part of the action. To register, teams can call toll free (866) 4 MY NPPL. (International teams will need to dial the NPPL Headquarters at (714) 536-9050).

The event, taking place March 24th, 25th and 26th, will once again be held on the gorgeous beach in Surf City USA (Huntington Beach, California). The playing surface will be ActionTurf placed over the sand. There will be six playing fields, five different divisions of play, 207 teams, 50 plus vendors, celebrities, television crews, palm trees, blue skies, clear water and plenty of hot Center Court paintball action!

The National Professional Paintball League (NPPL) and Pure Promotions have spent the “off season” under going some serious preparations for what will prove to be the most exciting season so far. One of the first announcements is that teams will now be scheduled to play only against teams within their own division – for Preliminary rounds as well as the Finals. This new structure will further eliminate any scheduling advantages and provide teams with a fair playing field – all to ensure the best teams make it to the finals. Below is a break down of the Prelim and Final Schedules.

Prelims for Semi Pro, Division I, II and III
For the first time in NPPL history, these teams will no longer play against teams outside of their Division. Instead, we will be capping each division and scheduling intra-division play only. Semi Professional, Division I, II & III teams will be split into groups of 9 where they will play 8 games round robin during the prelims over Friday and Saturday. Games will be split into a morning bracket and an afternoon bracket. The top 16 teams from each division will advance to Sunday’s Quarter Finals.

Finals for Semi Pro, Division I, II and III
16 teams qualify for the Quarter Finals in each division. These teams will be split into 4 brackets where the top team from each bracket will move forward to the Semi Finals. Team 1 will play Team 4 best of three, while Team 2 will play Team 3 best of three. The teams will be reseeded after Semi Finals for the Finals. Team 1 will play Team 2 best of three for 1st and 2nd place. Team 3 and Team 4 will play best of three for 3rd and 4th places.

Prelims for Professional League
On Saturday, the 18 Professional Teams will be split into two divisions of 9 where they will then play 8 games of round robin. The top 4 teams from each bracket will move on to Sunday’s Quarter Finals.

Professional League Quarter Finals
On Sunday 8 professional teams will play 7 games of round robin against each Professional Quarter Final team. The top four highest scoring teams will then go through to the Semi Finals.

Professional League Semi Finals – NPPL Center Court
Team 1 will play Team 4 best of three, and Team 2 will play Team 3 best of three. The teams will be reseeded after Semi Finals for the Finals.

Professional League Finals – NPPL Center Court
Team 1 will play Team 2 best of three for 1st and 2nd place. Team 3 and Team 4 will play best of three for 3rd and 4th places.

Window Cornice
Dare to be different. Get away from the norm and try out a window cornice on your windows.
